China's Economy Grows 11.9% on Stimulus Spending
China's economy expanded 11.9 percent in the first quarter of 2010 from a year earlier, a second straight quarter of double-digit growth, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on April 15.
The growth pace was faster than the 11.6 percent median forecast of 15 economists surveyed by Caixin between April 6 to April 9. In the last quarter of 2009, China reported a 10.7 percent growth in its gross domestic product. It was also the highest in three years.
