China's Urban Workforce to Add 80 Mln by 2020
Labor shortages are unlikely to appear in China within a decade and the economy is expected to grow by 8 percent at the same time, Morgan Stanley's chief economist Wang Qing said.
The addition to the workforce is estimated at 20 million but new workers in urban areas may reach 80 million, said Wang, adding that 75 percent of the workforce will engage in non-agricultural work in 2020 from the current 67 percent.
