Hong Kong Development Secretary Steps Down

Hong Kong's development secretary, Mak Chai-kwong, resigned Thursday. The resignation comes shortly after the city's anti-graft agency said it had arrested four people for violating the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance in regard to housing allowances. Mak was appointed to his position just two week ago by Hong Kong's new leader, Leung Chun-ying, who himself is being investigated in relation to the corruption scandal.
