Chinese Investments in U.S. Set Record in 2012, Report Says

(Beiing) – Chinese direct investment in the United States will set a new record this year, as the total value of deals has already exceeded the record set in 2010, a report says.

"There have been 46 Chinese direct investments in the United States worth US$ 6.2 billion" so far this year, and one can expect more before 2013, Daniel Rosen, Rhodium Group co-founder and head China researcher, said at the Caixin Summit in Beijing on November 16.
Previously, 2010 saw the most Chinese direct investment in the United States, with transactions totaling US$ 5.8 billion, Rosen said.
