Closer Look: Alipay Sees App as Good Medicine for Hospitals, Patients

(Beijing) – Alipay, the country's largest third-party payment service, says it plans to cooperate with hospitals so that patients can use its app to do everything from making an appointment to paying a bill.

Wang Lun, the company's product manager for the hospital project, said its plan would allow users to handle many aspects of a trip to the hospital with Alipay Wallet. This would include registering to see a doctor, monitoring a place in line, paying fees and retrieving medical records.
