NGO's Urge Gov't to Help Disabled Migrant Children Get Schooling
(Beijing) – While September is when children around the country head back to school, most of the half-million school-age disabled children from the country's migrant families have never been educated.
Twenty Chinese non-governmental organizations (NGOs) recently published a letter calling on the government to change the country's Education Bill of Individuals with Disabilities, a policy issued in 1994 regarding educations right for the disabled, to enable such children to enroll in the schools closest to where they live.
