Large Railroad Manufacturers Said to Consider Merger

(Beijing) – The country's two largest railroad equipment manufacturers may merge by exchanging shares, sources with knowledge of the matter say, and a decision might be made over the November 1-2 weekend.

China CNR Corp. Ltd. and CSR Corp. Ltd. announced on October 27 they are suspending the trading their shares. Later company statements said the suspension will last five days. The firms did not provide any further explanation.
