Alleged 'Rat Trader' Surrenders in Shanghai
(Shanghai) — A suspected "rat trader" from an insurance asset management firm has turned himself in to Shanghai police after returning from the U.S., where he fled half a year ago.
Caixin reporters verified through various sources that the suspect, whom police identified only as a man surnamed Liu, was a deputy manager in a division of Taiping Asset Management Co. Ltd. in Shanghai, a subsidiary of China Taiping Insurance Holdings Co. Ltd.
