More Internet Giants Put Off CDR Plans [CX Flash]

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. and JD.com Inc. have pushed back their timelines for issuing Chinese depositary receipts (CDR), Caixin has learned from multiple sources in the industry. Baidu Inc., while poised to be the first to issue CDRs, has not made any recent moves after racing to make preparations to offer its securities domestically, a person close to the company told Caixin. The changes follow Xiaomi Inc.’s delay of its much-anticipated CDR issuance, which it planned to do at the same time as its initial public offering in Hong Kong.
