Covid Controls Leave Shanghai Port Plagued by Delays

Measures to contain Shanghai’s worst ever coronavirus outbreak are disrupting operations at the world’s busiest container port, likely delaying core exports from electronics to textiles, and pharmaceutical ingredients to cars.

While ships have been allowed to dock as normal, there are significant delays arising from Covid-19 testing protocols which are hindering trucks and cargo barges from loading and unloading their cargo, sources in shipping and freight forwarding firms have told Caixin.
