Hong Kong Lowers the Listing Bar for Specialist Tech Companies

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) issued new listing rules Friday for specialist technology companies, halving the revenue threshold from an earlier proposal.
For companies in the nearly 20 sectors considered “specialist technology,” the minimum market capitalization required to trade shares on the exchange will be HK$6 billion ($764.4 million), down from HK$8 billion in the original proposal, the bourse operator said in a statement.
