China Welcomes Japanese Foreign Minister’s Visit to ‘Manage Differences’

Japan's Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi will make a two-day visit to China from April 1, according to Bejing, marking the first visit by Tokyo’s top diplomat in more than three years.
“China attaches importance to the visit,” Mao Ning, spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, said during a press conference Friday.
Hayashi and Foreign Minister Qin Gang will hold talks, during which “they will have in-depth exchanges of views on the bilateral relations and international and regional issues of shared interest,” said Mao.
