China’s top leadership pledged to roll out targeted stimulus measures and step up counter-cyclical policy adjustments to support the economy in the second half of the year.

The directives, issued at a Politburo meeting on Thursday, come as the world’s second-largest economy faces weak domestic demand and deepening structural imbalances that weighed on second-quarter growth.
