Li Jiange 李剑阁

Chairman, Board of Trustees of Sun Yefang Foundation 孙冶方基金会理事长

Mr. Jiange Li is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sun Yefang Foundation, and also one of the most influential persons in finance of China. Mr. Li held several leading positions for the state, and served as the Vice Minister of Development Research Center (DRC) of the State Council and Vice Minister of the State Council Office for Restructuring the Economic System until 2008. As a veteran of China's political sphere. Mr. Li witnessed China's reform and opening-up, and helped orchestrate the reform of state owned enterprises and the banking system in the late 1990s as a senior aide to then-Premier Zhu Rongi. Mr. Li is also renowned for his achievements in academia and business sphere. He has won the Sun Yefang Economics Prize, the highest award in Chinese economics, three times, and is concurrently Professor and Supervisor for Ph.D. students at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua PBCS and School of Finance of Renmin University of China. With his rich experience in China's economic and financial market, Mr. Li was also previously at the helm of CICC and ShenYin & WanGuo Securities as their chairman. He has been trustee of Sun Yefang Foundation of Economics and Member of its Awarding Committee since 2002. He was elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation in 2009. 李剑阁先生是孙冶方基金会理事会主席，也是中国金融界最具影响力的人物之一。李先生曾在国家多个重要岗位上担任领导职务，直到2008年，他一直担任国务院发展研究中心副主任和国务院经济体制改革办公室副主任。李先生见证了中国的改革开放，并在上世纪90年代末作为时任总理朱镕基的高级助理，协助策划了国有企业和银行系统的改革。李先生在学术和商业领域也有着卓越的成就。他曾三次获得中国经济学最高奖项——孙冶方经济学奖，并同时担任中国社会科学院研究生院、清华大学五道口金融学院和中国人民大学财政金融学院的教授和博士生导师。凭借在中国经济和金融市场的丰富经验，李先生还曾担任中国国际金融有限公司和申银万国证券的董事长。自2002年以来，他一直是孙冶方经济科学基金会的理事和评奖委员会成员，并于2009年当选为理事会主席。
