Sanctions Cost Drone-Maker DJI Access to U.S. Software Design Tools

SZ DJI Technology Co. Ltd. has confirmed that San Francisco-based software design startup Figma Inc. has stopped providing it with services after the Chinese drone-maker was sanctioned by the U.S. government.

The Shenzhen-based manufacturer told Caixin it was informed by Figma in a recent email that its access to the company’s software would be blocked “in compliance with U.S. laws” as DJI “is named in U.S. issued sanctions.”
