Tianjin Tweaks Rules to Let Covid-Impacted ‘Spring Gaokao’ Students Take Test

Authorities in Tianjin have revised policies that would have prevented Covid-positive students, and those deemed at risk of infection, from attending the city’s spring college entrance exam next month.
The spring exam, now scheduled for June 12 in the northern Chinese city after being postponed, is important for tens of thousands of local students, including vocational students, who seek to go to college. It is considered a less competitive exam compared to the National College Entrance Examination, or “gaokao,” in summer.
