Volkswagen to Build All-Electric Tavascan Car in China

Volkswagen’s Cupra brand will produce the all-electric Tavascan auto in China and export it to global markets, the German automaker’s China unit confirmed Wednesday with Caixin.

China has become an important driver of global electric vehicle production and innovation, and Volkswagen’s plant in Anhui province, equipped with its MEB platform manufacturing capabilities, is becoming a vital electric vehicle production center for the company, Volkswagen Group China said.
