Xinjiang Justice Department Head Turns Himself In to Graft Investigators

What’s new: The head of the justice department in the Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region, Ainiwaer Siyiti, has turned himself in to authorities investigating him for corruption.
Siyiti, also the deputy secretary of the department’s party committee, is suspected of “serious violations of discipline and law,” a common euphemism for corruption, according to a statement published by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, quoting the anti-graft branch in Xinjiang.
