Warren Buffett Pares BYD Stake Again in HK$1.1 Billion Sale

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. has sold another chunk of shares in Chinese electric-vehicle (EV) giant BYD Co. Ltd. this month, bringing the total offloaded amount since July to an estimated HK$20.8 billion ($2.7 billion).

On Feb. 3, the investment firm sold 4.2 million of BYD’s Hong Kong-listed shares at an average price of HK$257.9 apiece, pocketing HK$1.1 billion, a Wednesday exchange filing shows. It held 11.9% of the automaker’s total Hong Kong-listed shares after the sale.
