BOC Told Branches to Control Aug Loan Growth - Source

(.com.cn) Bank of China (SSE: 601988; HKEX: 3988) ordered its branches to control their lending growth in August, a person close to the matter told .

A BOC branch in a coastal province set lending caps for all its sub-branches which the latter were not allowed to exceed, the source said.

BOC spokesman Wang Zhaowen told he was not aware of such an order
