【Caixin Summit】CIC Looks to Diversify Its Investments

China Investment Corporation is looking to diversify its investment portfolio to prevent risk and balance investment structure, said Gao Xiqing, president of the sovereign wealth fund that manages part of the country's foreign exchange assets.

At the Caixin Summit in Beijing on November 11, Gao said CIC's greatest factor in picking investments is profit-making potential. "Our preference is profit-making," Gao said. "Considering our scale, we have to be diversified, but try our best to avoid the fields closely connected with the economic cycle."
