(Beijing) – Mobile applications that allow individuals to make extra money delivering small packages and takeaway food are beginning to take off in China, led by Dada, an app based on the car-hire company Uber.

Dada is led by Philip Kuai, who resigned as vice president of the real estate agency Anjuke Inc. last year to set up Shanghai Qusheng Network Technology Co. Ltd., the company behind the app.
