China Sets Up New Office to Reform Personal Income Tax

(Beijing) — China's Ministry of Finance has established an office to focus on handling individual income tax, the country's latest move toward reforming its income tax system.

The office, which was established on Tuesday — just a day after China appointed Xiao Jie as the new finance minister — will shoulder the process of introducing much-awaited reforms aimed at reducing the income gap.
