Entertainment platform Bilibili said it will collaborate with leading e-commerce website Taobao to sell the video streamer’s growing array of content and IP assets.

Bilibili is popular among China’s young content creators and consumers, especially in anime, comics and games (ACG). Under the partnership, Bilibili content providers will be able to run accounts on Taobao and promote merchandise. Taobao will provide e-commerce technical support and help Bilibili promote and commercialize its IP assets, according to the statement.

“We greatly value Bilibili’s unique online hub themed around ACG, and appreciate its ‘Gen Z’ demographic expertise and believe there is a natural synergy between us,” said Fan Jiang, vice president of Alibaba Group and President of Taobao.

Bilibili has aggressively expanded its content offerings lately. In a bid to grow its ACG selections, it recently acquired major IP assets from NetEase Comics, one of China’s largest online comic sellers.
