Mike's experience spans both public and private markets in Greater China, Southeast Asia, and India. He is a pioneer in China cross-border investments, launching multiple QFll investment strategies in as early as 2005. In 2008, he introduced the very first investment fund linked QDll products, and in 2010, he led the first CNH investment strategy by a foreign investment firm. Additionally, he established a fully-fledged foreign-owned local asset management capability in Indonesia in 2006.
More recently, in 2013, Mike co-seeded WeLab and serves on the board of Akulaku, representing Silverhorn as the second-largest shareholder. Both companies are notable Fintech unicorns and exemplify Silverhorn's track record as one of Asia's preeminent venture builders, providing equity and debt investment support to various companies.
In addition to his role as an investment partner for international investors allocating funds to both public and private investment opportunities in Asia, Mike is passionate about connecting the region,particularly Hong Kong as an International Financial Centre, with Europe and the Middle East. He actively participates in advancing dialogue among regulators, sovereign funds, and private financial investors, leveraging his broad experience and deep expertise in Fintech.
