Previously, Sun Lei was Director for General Office of Ministry of Cooperation of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, Director for Prudential Regulation Authority of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. He participated in national policy-making relating to Rural Credit Cooperatives and Financial Supervision. He has been awarded the titles of “Top10 Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs in Chongqing” and “Chongqing Talents and Distinguished Teacher in Finance and Accounting Field”.

孙磊先生拥有中国人民大学管理学博士，新加坡国立大学公共行政管理学硕士，西南财经大学金融学硕士及对外经济贸易大学金融学学士学位。

超过十六年的中国人民银行总行、银保监会工作经验，曾担任中国银监会合作部业务综合处处长、中国银保监会审慎规制局专题风险处长等职位。

参与制定多项农村信用社改革重大政策文件，以及强化银行业信用风险、市场风险、内部控制等重要监管规则。先后荣获原银监会监管标兵和知识型标兵称号。

曾荣获“重庆市十大杰出青年企业家”和“重庆英才·名家名师（金融与会计领域——金融类）”称号。
