Cynthia Zhang 张倩

Cynthia Zhang is the founder of FutureX Capital, with over a decade of investment experience across both primary and secondary markets in China and abroad. She has developed a rigorous research and investment methodology grounded in first-principles thinking from an industry perspective, and has accumulated extensive experience in industrial partnerships and capital markets operations.

She has led investments totaling over RMB 20 billion, including major high-profile deals. These include five consecutive rounds in Bytedance and Meituan (3690.HK), multiple rounds in Kingsoft Cloud (KC.NASDAQ) and Meitu (1467.HK), as well as investments in Xiaomi (1810.HK), Black Sesame(2533.HK), PingCap, IC League, UOS, SmartSens (688213.SH), Longcheer (603341.SH), and Alibaba (BABA.NYSE).

Prior to founding FutureX Capital in 2018, Ms. Zhang spent over eight years at China Asset Management Company, where she established the private equity investment arm and successfully exited over USD 2 billion in deals. She has served on the boards of several AI and technology companies, including Kingsoft Cloud, and previously held roles at Merrill Lynch, UBS, and Delta Partners, a Boston-based private equity fund.

Cynthia was recognized as one of the "F40 China Young Investors" in 2018, and she has been continuously honored as a "GP Young Leader of the Year" since 2021. She was named one of the "Top 50 Female Investors in China" by PEdaily. She was featured in the "2023 Science and Technology Women's Influence Awards" and was named "Top Female Investor of 2024" by CYZone. In 2025, she was recognized by Forbes China as one of "China's Tech Innovation and AI Influencers" and was honored as one of the 2025 "S50 Women in Investment" by PEdaily.

Cynthia holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore. She earned an MBA from Hult International Business School and holds the CFA designation. She also holds a master's degree in Finance from the PBC School of Finance at Tsinghua University. Additionally, she is an alumna of the Stanford Executive Program (SEP) at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. 在华夏基金任职八年多，创建一级股权投资业务并且投资退出过20亿美金。曾先后任职金山云等多家AI科技企业董事，以及任职于美林证券，瑞银集团和美国波士顿本土私募基金。于2018年创立 VC 天际科技投资，累积管理十亿美金，聚焦于全球高新科技企业和人工智能企业的股权投资。

2018和2019年连续两年获选清科 “F40”中国青年投资人。2021年获选FOFWEEKLY【2021投资机构年度人物】GP青年领袖。2022、2023和2024年连续三年上榜投资界S50女性投资人。2022年上榜创业邦女性领导者榜单。2023年荣获创业邦推出的科创女性影响力大奖。2024年上榜创业邦【最值得关注的女性投资人】。2025 年上榜福布斯中国科创人物及人工智能影响力人物。2025年上榜清科“投资界S50女神节策划”。
