Julian Evans-Pritchard is Head of China Economics at Capital Economics, where he has spent over a decade advising governments, institutional investors and corporates on economic developments in China. Prior to that, he worked as a translator for Caixin, one of China’s leading financial news providers.
In 2024, Julian was named top overall forecaster for China by Consensus Economics. He holds degrees in mathematics and economics from the University of York and the National University of Singapore. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Economic Society of Singapore.
