Mr. Chen Ji is Managing Director, analyst of energy sector and head of green economy team at the Global Institute of China International Capital Corporation (CICC). His main field of research covers sustainable finance, energy transition and carbon reduction. He served as Senior Advisor to the Chinese Co-Chair of the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG) from 2023 to 2025, and member of subcommittee on Environmental Taxation Issue of UN Tax committee. Before joining CICC, Mr. Chen was the principal of Rocky Mountain Institute and director of international cooperation and policy division of National Centre for Climate Strategy and International Corporation (NCSC) as well as climate change department of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
He has 20 years of practical work experience in international climate negotiations, the formulation of national energy and climate policies, the formulation of local and enterprise dual-carbon action plans, as well as the incubation and investment of clean technologies. He has participated in the United Nations climate negotiations for 7 years, including Paris Agreement. He has also been involved in the formulation of national energy and climate policies and strategies, such as the Nationally Determined Contributions and the national greenhouse gas control programs. Additionally, he has engaged in relevant research on local and enterprise dual-carbon action plans.
Mr. Chen received a PhD degree in Energy and Environment Economics from Dundee University in 2009, a Master degree in Environment Economics and Environmental Management from York University in 2003, and a Bachelor degree in Building Service Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2002.
陈济，担任中金研究院绿色经济研究组负责人、能源行业分析师、董事总经理，专注于能源转型、双碳、可持续金融等领域研究。他目前还承担G20可持续金融工作组中方主席高级顾问、联合国税务委员会环境税委员会委员等工作。此前，曾在美国落基山研究所担任董事，在国家发改委气候司和国家气候战略中心担任部门负责人，对双碳战略、能源气候技术、能源转型等领域有深入研究。在国际气候谈判、国家能源气候政策制定、地方和企业双碳行动规划制定及相关技术孵化与投资有15年实业工作经验，参与了包括巴黎协定在内的7年联合国气候谈判、国家自主贡献和国家温室气体控制方案等国家能源气候政策和战略制定、地方和企业双碳行动规划的相关研究等。陈济获得英国邓迪大学能源环境经济学博士和英国约克大学环境经济与管理硕士学位，华中科技大学建筑设备与环境学士学位。
