Paperless Office Service Provider Laiye Names Tech Veteran to Oversee Global Expansion

Laiye, a Beijing-based robotic process automation (RPA) systems developer, has named tech industry veteran Ronen Lamdan as International CEO to oversee its global expansion.

The appointment comes as the use of RPA tools, designed to carry out repetitive workplace tasks to help enterprises enhance productivity, boomed during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a statement Friday, Lamdan said that he will build a global team for Laiye, without explaining his duties in detail. “Laiye is perfectly positioned to deliver productivity, transformation and growth that serve our customers and empower our communities,” Lamdan said.

Before joining Laiye, Lamdan worked as managing director at WorkFusion, a U.S.-based vendor of intelligent automation solutions combining RPA, artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities for business process automation. He also held high-ranking roles at companies including Microsoft and IBM, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Founded in 2015, Laiye provides smart robotic automation products, natural language processing, dialogue management and context-based recommendations to companies from a variety of industries ranging from finance and manufacturing to telecoms and retail. In 2019, Laiye launched an RPA platform called UiBot that it said can help businesses improve operating and management efficiency as well as lower staffing costs. The company said that its revenue from RPA software service subscriptions jumped 900% in 2020.
