Beijing Universities Develop Campus Plans for Xiongan New Area

At least four universities in Beijing have announced plans to build branches in Xiongan New Area, a recently developed economic zone, as expanding higher education institutes seek solutions to limited space in the capital city.

Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) announced last week that it has finalized its architectural designs of a new campus covering more than 170 hectares in the economic zone. It is expected to complete the first phase of construction and put the new campus into use around 2026.
