ASML expects the total indirect impact from U.S. measures to be around 5% of its backlog, Chief Executive Officer Peter Wennink said Wednesday.

(Bloomberg) — Key chip equipment supplier ASML Holding NV sees “fairly limited” impact from the U.S. export controls to restrict China’s access to cutting-edge semiconductor technologies, the Netherlands-based company said.

“The fact that we are a European company with limited U.S. technology in it of course creates this situation where a direct impact on us is fairly limited,” ASML Chief Financial Officer Roger Dassen said in a video released Wednesday together with earnings. He said the company will comply with U.S. regulations.
