China’s sweeping anti-corruption crackdown on its sports sector has ensnared two more top badminton officials, escalating a probe that previously led to the downfall of the association’s president.`
The General Administration of Sport of China announced Monday that Xia Xuanze, vice president of the Chinese Badminton Association, and Wang Wei, the association’s former vice president and secretary-general, are under investigation for suspected serious violations of the law.
