Essential Drug List Offers Investment Opportunity

(.com.cn) The health ministry's approval on August 17 of a list of essential medicines for 2009 could provide an investment opportunity in China's healthcare stocks, analysts said.

Essential medicines are basic, affordable drugs that are to be available in about 30 percent of provincial medical institutes by the end of this year and nation-wide by 2020, as part of the effort of China's nation-wide health care reform.
