Awkwardly Ignoring China in Detroit

This year's Detroit auto show drew several political leaders who extolled
the virtues of American manufacturing and wisely ignored Chinese electric
cars.
China stole the annual auto sales crown from the United States on January 11, the same day that several top-flight U.S. politicians held a press conference at Detroit's yearly auto show. They stood on a podium beside a Cadillac display at the sprawling North American International Auto Show. And they spoke within earshot of the booth for the show's only Chinese automaker, BYD.
