Shake-up in Hunan Media

The shifting positions for senior officials and executives in Hunan's TV and broadcasting system are seen as the first step in a new round of reform, which will focus on the separation of broadcast and production.

On January 7, Ouyang Changlin was removed from his post as the General Manager of Golden Eagle Broadcasting System (GBS) and the Director of Hunan Television Station, raising speculation that a new round of reform will be soon launched. Along with Ouyang, Lu Huanbin was also removed from the Director of Hunan Economic Television Station.
