Shanghai-Hangzhou Maglev Line Approved

After several years of delay, the maglev train line project linking Shanghai and Hangzhou won approval from the Ministry of Railways, according to an official from the ministry.

Zheng Jian, the ministry's chief planner, said on the sidelines of the just-concluded National People's Congress that further study of the 199.4 kilometer maglev line is ongoing. It is the only Maglev line in China's national medium and long-term plan.
