Rio Tinto Court Trials Begin

(Caiixin Online) An executive of Australian mining giant Rio Tinto has admitted in a Shanghai court to taking bribes during the iron-ore price negotiation with Chinese steel companies.

The trials of Rio Tinto executive Stern Hu and other three staff -- Liu Caikui, Wang Yong, and Ge Minqiang -- were opened March 22 at the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court. The four were accused of taking bribes and infringing trade secrets.
