Foxconn Announces 30% Pay Raise

(Shenzhen) - Foxconn, the world's largest electronics contract manufacturer, announced at 30 percent wage increase for workers, following a recent wave of highly-publicized suicides at its compound in Shenzhen.

According to a statement from Hon Hai Precision, Foxconn's Taiwan-based parent company, the pay raise will cover Foxconn's production line workers in China, starting from June 1.
