Worker Reps in Honda Call for More Negotiations

Worker representatives at Honda's Nanhai plant in Guangdong Province issued a public letter on June 3, one day after workers returned to work, stating that they will resume the strike if the company does not respond with a satisfactory offer within two days. This is the first organized appeal by Honda China's workers.

A strike held by workers at the Japanese carmaker's Nanhai plant, has drawn significant public attention on the issue of factory wages. Local governments intervened to mediate, sending union officials.
