(Beijing) - An effort to integrate Internet Protocol television (IPTV) and the rest of China's vast network of public communication and media systems has been hobbled by turf disputes between broadcast and telecom industry regulators.

But unwavering central government support for IPTV and a recent compromise between two agencies have raised hopes for an end to the squabbling and an accelerated push for integration.
