Beijing Maglev Project Awaits Environmental Approval

(Beijing) - A low-to-medium speed maglev train line in Beijing is awaiting approval from the environmental regulator after a five-day review that started September 1.

The project, known as Line S1, is designed for western Beijing's Mentougou and Shijinshan Districts. The train runs a total length of 10.165 kilometers, with a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
