Oil Spill and a Brick Wall

 

(Beijing) - Fishing communities in the Dalian area are reeling financially in the wake of China's worst maritime oil disaster – and struggling to find someone in power who will hear their plight.

More than 20 aquaculture business leaders and Shao Deshan, a village committee chief in the Dalian Development Area, have petitioned the central government's State Bureau for Letters and Calls in hopes of receiving compensation to offset business damages from a July 16 oil spill.
