China Stocks End Lower After Winning Streak
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2955.23, 0.54 percent lower from the previous session.
It reversed gains lasting seven consecutive sessions on Monday.
Meanwhile, shares of 107 out of 127 ChiNext-listed companies dropped until the noon of Monday.
Following the seven-day National Day holiday, hot money buoyed A-shares. At the end of the morning session, the Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2984.87 points, close to the psychologically important 3000 points. It represented a 12.4 percent rise from the close of September 30. Natural resources, finance and real estate shares outperformed the broad market.
