【Caixin Summit】Analysts Warn of Aimless New Energy Investment

(Beijing) -- China's investment in the new energy sector has shown signs of overheating, warned Shao Bingren, vice director of the Committee of Population, Resources and Environment of the CPPCC.

Shao said at the November 6 Caixin Summit in Beijing that the development of new energy is crucial for China to meet the rising energy demand and adjust its energy consumption structure. However, some of the current investments have been deemed aimless by many in the industry.
