Chinese Auto Imports to Grow 20% in 2011
(Beijing) -- China's auto imports are expected to increase by 20 percent in 2011 to reach 800,000 units, a slower rate than in 2010, according to China's state-owned auto import major China Automobile Trading Co.
China Automobile Trading said in a press release on its website that from January to October, China imported 604,000 vehicles, an increase of 132.7 percent from the same period last year. The company expects auto imports for the whole year of 2010 will reach 650,000 vehicles, a more than 80 percent year-on-year increase.
