The Temple of Baby Worship

In a small restaurant one day, a group of boisterous – and completely inebriated men were enjoying themselves. Their enthusiasm filled the room with liveliness. Looking at them pushing, laughing and joking at each other, you might be led to believe that this is the path to happiness. Liquor, only liquor can give us this view.

Listening to their conversation, I quickened my pace of drinking. Ten minutes later, I emptied a small bottle of "erguotou" (a local Beijing liquor.) I ordered another one and lit a cigarette. Indeed, the world began to look beautiful.
