Zhou Says Crisis Recovery Not Criterion of Success

(Beijing) - Economist Zhou Qiren expressed doubts over whether China's economic restructuring could be assessed from its rapid recovery following the financial crisis, at a round-table dialogue of economists held by Caixin Media on February 21.

"It is open to discussion whether such an economic recovery could serve as a standard to evaluate China's economic transition in the post-financial crisis era," said Zhou Qiren, dean of the National School of Development at Peking University.
