China Raises Non-Residential Power Prices

(Beijing) -- The National Development and Reform Commission has moved to raise electricity tariffs for non-residential use at an average of 1.67 fen per kilowatt hour in 15 provinces and municipalities, effective on June 1.

Power prices will be raised by 2.4 fen per kilowatt hour in Shanxi Province, the biggest hike of the 15 regions, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.
