Tenpay's Online Payment License Not Withdrawn

(Shenzhen) -- Tenpay, an online payment service under China's leading Internet firm Tencent Holdings Ltd. (HKEX: 0700), has not had its license withdrawn by authorities as media speculated, persons close to Tenpay and the Shenzhen branch of the central bank told Caixin.

Fang Xingdong, an Internet analyst, said in a microblog post on June 15 that the central bank's Shenzhen branch withdrew the license of Tenpay, demanding it to annul its control agreement with foreign investors.
